Car Winner Announced!

On Wednesday, December 21st, Jesse Ransome was taken completely by surprise when staff and volunteers from United Way of Burlington County came to his place of employment with a brand new 2012 Ford Fiesta Sedan SE.   Surrounded by his excited co-workers at the Ocean Spray Cranberries facility in Bordentown, NJ, Ransome was presented with the keys by 2011 Campaign Chair, Ed O'Malley.

Ransome, an Ocean Spray employee, ecstatically jumped right into the driver's seat to get
a closer look at his new car.   An active supporter of United Way of Burlington County through the annual campaign, Ransome was chosen from more than 2,000 eligible participants who donated $4 or more dollars a week. A grateful Ransome stated, "I am happy to be able to give back to the community through the United Way campaign, especially by supporting their mission to focus on education, income and health."  

A true testament to Ocean Spray's support, this is the second time in four years that an employee from this company has won a car.  This year the employees have raised nearly $40,000 for the United Way Campaign. 

Ransome is the lucky winner in the United Way's "Miles of Smiles" car sweepstakes, donated by Holman Enterprises. The drawing was held on the morning of December 15th at a meeting of the organization's lead campaign volunteers, headed by Ed O'Malley, Senior Managing Consultant for Gallagher Benefit Services.  "Our goal is to enrich and better the lives of the citizens of Burlington County. These donations help meet these missions." O'Malley said.
