United Way is more than a fundraiser. United Way is in the business of getting results for the community. United Way of Burlington County is a bridge linking community leaders and partner agencies together to address Burlington County’s most pressing problems and make a difference right here where it matters most.
In order to achieve this, United Way Advances the Common Good by focusing on the three main building blocks for a good life. The following three areas are crucial to helping the citizens of Burlington County thrive and are the backbone of a strong community. Education: Helping Children & Youth Achieve their Potential

Income: Promoting Financial Stability & Independence

- Financial education
Intended Results:
- Emergency financial assistance provided to help keep people in their current homes and prevent homelessness.
- Increased financial knowledge and literacy.
- Affordable housing available to those in need.
- Job training offered to help people move towards self-sufficiency.
Health: Improving People’s Health
Strategies:
- Providing basic needs
- Home healthcare & hospice
- Violence prevention & response
- Individual & family counseling
Intended Results:
- Parents and caregivers equipped to support the physical, emotional and intellectual development of their children.
- Short-term shelter and food provided to help those in need.
- Families experiencing domestic violence have shelter, support and legal advocacy.
- Services and support for the elderly enable them to live independently.
