You have the chance to learn new skills, make friends, and, most importantly, to share your experience and your willingness to help those who need it the most. Many United Way member agencies have ongoing needs for volunteers to serve in a variety of capacities.

1. How do I get started?

2. How do I know if volunteering is right for me?
To volunteer all you need is some free time and a willingness to help. Our experience has been the vast majority of people who are drawn to volunteering enjoy it immensely. The best part is, we can easily work around your schedule and your preferences to ensure you are involved with something you will enjoy.

In a word, everything. Without volunteers, United Way and many of its partner agencies simply could not exist. From community leaders who serve on our board to the thousands of men and women who pitch in and help throughout the city, volunteering makes the difference between hopelessness and hope.
